Since the release of their self-titled, debut album in February of this year, Ibeyi have been captivating audiences across the globe with their unique blend of modern pop, hip-hop and electronica. The twins are the daughters of the late, ultra talented Cuban percussionist Anga Diaz, so, their music further encompasses elements of the traditional sounds of their father’s Yoruba culture.
If you’re hankering for some new material from these two, they’ve recently released a re-fix to their single ‘Stranger/Lover’. The song, which is about finding your way out of a difficult relationship, is rematerialised into a funk-fuelled, righteous R&B anthem.
