That Low and Lonesome Sound was released today, an album that “focuses on the journey and personal battles of letting go of a past life” says Kato. The album was recorded between 301 Studios in Byron Bay and Kato’s home studio over two years.
Kato recorded most of the songs multiple times in the pursuit of perfection, “I just kept adjusting them and tending to them like my garden.”
Off the back of the new album Kato will head out on a headline tour, where he will be backed by a full band, and he will also be supporting Pete Murray on tour, playing solo on his guitar.
“Playing solo with just my guitar is my most comfortable mode, I love breaking hearts if I can.”
