It’s fair to say that Frank Iero won over the hearts of many Australians earlier this year. After the demise of Soundwave (a line-up that frnkiero andthe celebration were set to appear on), Iero decided that he wasn’t going to let fans down by playing two special acoustic shows, free of charge.
The overwhelming turn out blew Frank Iero away. “I’m honestly still speechless over the response we had when we played in January. I was really bummed when Soundwave got cancelled, so to have been able to come to Australia anyway and do it on our terms to such an overwhelming response was beyond a dream come true. It was amazing.”
The shows will give Australian audiences the first chance to catch Stomachaches in a full band setting, as well as a sneak preview of what to expect from their new record.
Joining frnkiero andthe patience. will be Walter Schreifels, founding member and principal songwriter for Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand and Rival Schools.
