Enjoying over 30 years of success both nationally and internationally, the critical acclaim generated from Don McGlashan’s April release Lucky Stars proves that he’s still got what it takes to mesmerise his listeners. Drawing initial inspiration from a stay at a beach house in New Zealand’s majestic Thames Estuary, McGlashan polished off his album in Neil Finn’s writing room at the Roundhead Studio.
The album enjoyed glowing reviews, with Metro Magazine congratulating the musician on ‘the spine-tingling way he moves from major to minor keys, his keenly observant eye [and] the thoughtfulness with which his songs are forced’.
