Born out of a Twitter interaction between South London based Marr and New York based Faker, real name Nick Murphy, the collaboration, Work, is slated for release on December 4 via Murphy’s own label Detail Records.
The first single off the EP, ‘The Trouble With Us’, dropped today, and is a funk-tinged step towards the mainstream. The release coincides with an upcoming Australian tour that Murphy will embark upon in late October.
Fans will be able to see him at shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, as well as at a DJ set for renowned underground music broadcast Boiler Room, at an as yet undisclosed location.
Work follows 2014’s acclaimed album Built on Glass, Faker’s last collaborative effort, 2013’s Lockjaw EP with fellow Aussie Flume and a slew of releases on his Soundcloud page.
