Joining the likes of Hot Chip, Weyes Blood, Sleaford Mods and Fat White Family is Alex Cameron, the Sydney-born troubador who boasts a silver tongue and a face with Beckham-like qualities. Working in tandem with saxophonist and business partner Roy Malloy, Cameron now released three critically acclaimed and consumer adored solo records, and has also enjoyed stints working with the likes of The Killers, Seekae and Kirin J Callinan. This will be the first time he’ll be playing material from Miami Memory down under, and we can’t wait.
Elsewhere, the lineup includes The Murlocs, the soulful, garage-rock lovin’ cousins of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard; fuzzed-out Melbournians Press Club and Jack Ladder, a gigantic guitarist from Sydney who seemingly creeps his way into the creative process of all good Australian records.
It’s a lineup that highlights some of the country’s best rock and guitar-based acts, and should end up being a ripper of a festival.
Farmer & The Owl goes down at Wollongon’s MacCabe Park on Saturday February 29, 2020. Check out the lineup below.
