The amp additions are a mix of classic Fender circuits and some notable new territory. Alongside models like the ’57 Champ, ’68 Custom Deluxe Reverb and ’65 Twin Custom 15, the update brings three EVH 5150 III 50W 6L6 models – Green, Blue and Red channel variants – marking a noteworthy expansion beyond the Fender family. The Rumble 800 bass amp also makes an appearance, rounding out what is a broad spread of tonal options across genres.
Six of the new 15 effects come from well-regarded pedal originals: the Lightyear takes the Greer Lightspeed as its starting point, Pinions and Runes draw from the EQD Plumes and Blumes respectively, the Integrator Boost references TC Electronic’s Integrated Preamp, Grunt is based on the Fortin Grind, and the Seventy Sixer Compressor looks to the UA 1176. The remaining nine are Fender originals – including a Step Tremolo, Prismatic Delay, two Cirrostratus reverb variants and a Pitch Sequencer.
On the usability side, the update adds a second page of footswitch assignments, bringing the total to 16 per preset, up from 8. There’s a new search function and a favourites filter in the Add/Replace menus, a global seamless tap tempo option for delays, and a redesigned IR edit screen with user-adjustable Speaker Impedance Curve. The looper gets expanded footswitch assignment types, including an EZ Looper that handles Record, Play and Overdub from a single switch. A new strobe tuner option joins the existing needle mode, and footswitch LED colours can now be assigned per preset.
The update is available now via USB-C here.
