It’s been a year unlike any other, but nonetheless, the ARIA Awards went down in Sydney last night, celebrating the achievements of Australian artists over the course of the year.
The night’s big winner came in the form of Kevin Parker, who won five of the seven awards Tame Impala were nominated for, including Album Of The Year, Best Group, Best Rock Album, Best Producer and Best Engineer off the back of The Slow Rush.
Sampa The Great also raked in the goods with her three wins, taking home Best Female Artist and Best Hip-Hop Release and Best Independent Album for her phenomenal debut The Return.
Other big winners from 2020 ARIA Awards included Archie Roach, who won Best Male Artist and Best Adult Contemporary Album as well as being inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame, while Amy Shark also bagged awards for Best Pop Release and Best Australian Live Act.
