SSL’s Acoustifier plugin transforms DI acoustic guitar into studio-quality recordings

Solid State Logic has launched Acoustifier, a new plugin designed to turn dry DI acoustic guitar signals into rich, professionally recorded tones—no microphones or studio required.

Acoustifier emulates a dual-microphone setup, offering four acoustic guitar body types to choose from: two dreadnought variations, a jumbo/large body, and a concert/orchestra model. Users can then select between three classic microphone types—dynamic, condenser, or ribbon—available in stereo XY and spaced pair configurations. This flexibility allows guitarists to match their instrument and dial in authentic studio sounds, whether they’re mixing in-the-box, performing live, or recording on the road.

Acoustifier comes loaded with built-in processing tools to shape and refine your tone. The integrated EQ features a real-time frequency analyser, high-pass and low-pass filters, and three customisable mid bands, all controlled through an intuitive node-based interface. A quick-access tilt band makes it easy to shift the overall tonal balance without reaching for additional plugins.

For adding depth and space, the plugin includes an onboard reverb engine derived from SSL’s FlexVerb algorithms. Room, chamber, plate, and hall reverb types are available, with a built-in ducking feature that keeps the guitar performance upfront in the mix.

Rounding out the feature set is an integrated compressor section with Auto-Gain for level-matching and a dedicated Mix control for parallel compression. The compressor can be placed post-reverb for additional control over the processed signal.

Acoustifier also includes an ‘HQ’ mode for intelligent oversampling and higher quality results, making it a comprehensive solution for achieving polished acoustic guitar tones in any environment.

The plugin is available now as part of SSL’s Complete Access Bundle subscription, which includes over 150 plugins from SSL, Harrison Audio, and Slate Digital.
