The Fear Factory's guitarist Dino Cazeres signature humbucker is now available through Seymour Duncan.

Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares has spent decades crafting one of modern metal’s most uncompromising tones. Now, his signature Machete humbucker is finally here for everyone through Seymour Duncan.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

The Machete isn’t a typical active pickup swap. Built as an active humbucker in a passive mount, this humbucker delivers aggressive clarity and crushing power, designed for players who need articulation and low-end definition without sacrificing organic feel. While it builds on the foundation of Seymour Duncan’s acclaimed Retribution model, the Machete carves out its own territory. Treble bite meets low-mid thickness in a voice designed specifically for machine-gun picking, tight chugs, and searing lead work.

What sets the Machete apart is how it balances ferocity with clarity. Heavy doesn’t have to mean muddy, and Cazares’ signature humbucker ensures each note cuts through even the densest mix while maintaining definition across the fretboard. Palm-muted chugs stay tight and focused, while lead lines slice through with surgical precision. Despite its active circuitry, the Machete retains a dynamic, organic character that responds to your playing style. Attack harder, and it pushes back with punchy aggression. Roll back your volume, and it cleans up surprisingly well for an active pickup designed for maximum brutality. Seymour Duncan offers the pickup in multiple configurations to suit different setups. Six-string players can grab the Trembucker version in black, white, or red. There’s also a dedicated model for seven-string guitars, available in black, white, and zebra finishes.

Whether you’re hammering out brutal rhythms or cutting through with aggressive lead work, the Machete brings the relentless clarity and thickness that industrial metal demands.
