Pulling from their recently (well, 2022) released Trigon-6 Poly Synth, the Trigon-6 Desktop Module features 3 Oscillators and an enhanced ladder filter. The Desktop Module is a compact version of the larger Poly Synth, including additional MPE support. David Gibbons, CEO of Sequential, said:
“Desktop module designs continue to be a popular choice with our players. We spent a little extra time on MIDI polyphonic expression capabilities as we finalised this one, in anticipation of people pairing it up with some of the awesome MPE-capable controllers on the market. We’re looking forward to hearing what people will do with it!”
The Trigon-6 has dedicated drive and feedback controls that allow users to blend between “silky and smooth” to “bold and crunchy” tones from the instrument. The Desktop Module continues with the Poly Synth left off, and while doing away with the keyboard, has MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) capabilities. MPE allows you to add expression to you performance with additional controls available for pitch-bend, filter cutoff, amplitude and other modulation functions on a per-note basis.
