It’s a standalone recording divide, also doubling as a USB interface using a 32-bit float system, meaning you can safely avoid distortion while staying well clear of the noise floor. It’s powered by four AA batteries and a built-in rhythm section with 40 drum patterns means you can quickly get ideas cooking on the fly!

The four tracks each have a volume fader, and the whole unit has transport controls such as play, record, stop and skip etc. while the handy screen communicates levels, phantom power, battery life and more.

The R4 is a solution to demoing, songwriting and recording, all bundled into a supremely transportable package that doesn’t require an external power source. Creativity strikes at often inopportune times, Zoom and the Zoom R4 MultiTrak recorder moving to solve this.
