Solar Guitars release two new seven strings

In an interview with MusicRadar earlier this year, the Swedish metal don said that “I just want to release new stuff all the time,” hinting towards the hot streak of stylish new guitars that his company have been putting out since 2017. So far, he has kept his word.

The newest release in a seemingly ever-growing list of guitars from Solar is a double header of seven-stringers with two nasty designs to match their beefed-up bodies.

The E1.6FRW comes in a white matte coating on a mahogany type E body that clashes with its fat black/maple neck and nodes in a contrast that matches its jagged frame. With a Floyd Rose 1000 floating tremolo and three-piece neck, the E1.6FRW definitely means business – check it out below.

Meanwhile, the S1.7B is splashed in a poplar burst matte with a familiar Super-Strat body shape and mahogany body, as well as a hardtail Evertune bridge to keep everything in tune.

Both models feature dual coil-split Seymour Duncan Solar humbuckers, Solar 18:1 locking tuners and super-jumbo stainles steel frets.

The additions bring the total number of guitars available from Solar Guitars to 48, with each new release further evidencing Ola’s persistence to “have a go at doing it myself”, whether that be making music, videos or guitars. With his Youtube channel with over 300,000 subscribers, Englund continues to innovate in all things creative in what can only be good if he keeps pumping out guitars as slick as these.
