The Italian manufacturer claims that these improvements will give users “the power of desktop virtual instruments,” making SampleTank the most advanced sound and groove workstation for the mobile platform platform available.
At your disposal are 1,900 high quality sampled instruments and patterns and grooves. With SampleTank 2 has a new interface that’s designed for quicker workflow that can also go live, as well as a new browser, song modes and pad interface with added MIDI features.
Based on IK’s industry standard SampleTank 3 software for Mac and PC, its sounds provides an unmatched level of realism and sonic variety that can be easily accessed, layered and used for playing live or recording in the studio.
The live interface allows eight instrument slots that can create multi tracks, layers and splits. There will also be loops and patterns that can be loaded on as backing tracks.
The new song mode will allow ideas to come together with ease on the integrated 8-track MIDI sequencer and supports looped instruments.
The 4X4 pad interface has added velocity and repeat sliders that aim to help the user make more complicated beats, regardless of skill.
For virtual instrument users, there’s plenty to be excited about. These new developments to the Sample Tank 2 are set to raise the bar even higher for modern music tech.
SampleTank 2 is now available on the App Store.
