Pioneer DJ introduces entry-level DDJ-400 controller

The DDJ-400 is designed with elements to help performers comfortably develop their skills, incorporating features from more advanced products to ensure users are prepared when it’s time to take the next step with their sound.

Pioneer has based certain aspects of the DDJ-400 on the setup of its flagship NXS2 series, ensuring mastering the basics isn’t as daunting as it seems through shared elements such as dedicated cue buttons, Beat FX, and CDJ-style looping controls.

Beat FX applies professional FX to tempo-match, while the DDJ-400 boasts other practical features such as a PC master out and a built-in sound card.

The company has bolstered its latest innovation by including a rekordbox dj licence with the unit. This allows users to make the most of Pioneer’s rekordbox dj software to hone their craft at home in preparation for the day they take the stage.
