The new V-Class series utilises 2000 W Class-D Amplifiers and Mackie’s Advance Impulse DSP technology with crossover and transducer time alignment, while their design allows for them to be pole-mounted or used as floor monitors. Mackie claim that this offers tonnes of headroom and the highest SPL in its class while maintaining a highly balanced sound.
There’s three different units in the series – the SRM210, SRM212 and SRM215, which are fitted with 10″, 12″ and 15″ woofers – doesn’t take a brain scientist to work that one out. Mackie have stated that these woofers utilise large magnets and bespoke voice coils with cooling vents, with a Custom Sym-X horn handing high frequencies and reducing distortion levels.
As if they weren’t enticing enough, Mackie’s new SRM V-Class speakers come fitted wih four-channel digital mixers, with two independent channels for mic, line and instrument signals, as well as a 3.5mm aux input. It’s even got Bluetooth integration to allow for wireless music streaming, while the SRM Connect app lets you unlock further wireless capabilities.
Mackie is distributed in Australia via Amber Technology.
