While we’ve seen Fender launch all models mentioned here in the past, now marks the first time that they’ve been lumped into the Player Series, with Fender giving the guitars new finishes to celebrate the occasion.
The update to the series sees the Mustang, Mustang 90, Duo-Sonic and the Mustang PJ Bass receive a range of vibrant new finishes, including Burgundy Mist, Firemist Gold, Aged Natural, Seafoam Green, Sienna Sunburst and Tidepool. Specs-wise, they’re pretty much the same as they’ve always been, making them superb value-for-money for younger players or those a little restricted by budget.
