Boasting the same processing power but with a reduced price tag and slimmed down features, this unit differs from the previous model in several key ways. The most obvious being the touch-sensitive footswitches, which use a new ‘performance view’ 6.2” screen to display the functions being utilised at any given time.
Elsewhere the number of FX loop returns and sends are slightly slimmed down, and there is no a longer an included XLR mic preamp or CV included. However, Helix’s HX modeling and large array of included sounds are still included, with recently release firmware updates expanding on the existing roster of 56 amplifiers, 30 cabs, 16 microphones and 95 other effects.
