Created in California by luthier Mel Bergman, the Wheely features an ergonomic patent-pending design which accommodates for chair arm and leg relief, featuring custom upper and lower carvings and a belly contour to optimize playability whilst seated. The Wheely also features a custom carved neck and input jack position designed to compensate for chair arm cable clearance, allowing for players to minimize the hassle of tangled cables while playing the guitar.
Constructed with high-quality components, the Wheely boasts an alder body, a three-piece Eastern hard-rock maple neck and a 25.5” rosewood fingerboard. The unique design of the body is complimented with a zero-fret for increased sustain, and also features a Hipshot through-body fixed bridge and three Seymour Duncan single-coil pickups. The instrument also comes in Burnout Blue, Hot Rod Red, Racetrack Black and Wheely White finishes, with a small scale childrens instrument expected to be announced soon – in the meantime, check out US Wheelchair Basketball gold medalist Abby Dunkin play the game-changing instrument below.
