G&L celebrate 40 years with the Ruby Edition L-2000

The L-2000 was designed by none other than Leo Fender following his stints with the Big F and Music Man, and was released unto the world during G&L’s inaugural year in 1980. It’s renowned for its slapability, and many funk and soul players swear by its beefy tones and slick neck to lay down ze groove.

This limited edition variant features a AAA quilted maple top on a deluxe okoume body, while a figured roasted maple neck rounds out the package for an incredibly lavish offering. There’s also dual MFD pickups and a Tri-Tone active/passive preamp, while a Saddle Lock bridge rounds things out

Obviously, it’s a pretty bespoke take on the G&L classic, and as such, there’s only 40 models in existence. If you’ve got the cash to splash, however, we reckon it’s 100% worth it.
