The original hollowbody bass was released by Epiphone in 1997 when Casady wanted to find an instrument that matched a balanced electric tone with the response of an acoustic bass to fulfil roles in the studio and live, as well as being strong enough withstand life on the road.
The 20th Anniversary Epiphone Jack Casady features a limited edition veneer top in a deep win red finish, the maple body has singly-ply white binding, and a classic f-hole. It also has a JCB-1 low-impedance humbucker pickup, master volume and tone, and 3-position tone switch.
Epiphone are distributed in Australia through gibsonami.com.
