Releasing a first glimpse of the clone via their Facebook page, by all accounts, the Behringer RD-909 looks like a faithful reproduction of the legendary Roland drum machine, with the exception of plastic buttons replacing the TR-909’s original mechanical keys. There’s also the addition of the Wave Designer feature and Analogue Filter found on their RD-808 – another impressive clone of another famed Roland drum machine – and an extremely notable absence of the TR-909’s distinctive splash of orange, with Behringer opting for a monochrome finish for the new machine. Behringer are distributed via Australis Music and Pro Music Australia.
