The AT5047 joins Audio-Technica’s flagship 50 series to bridge the gap between the 5040 and 5045, both specifically designed to record vocals and instruments respectively. Boasting an exceptionally widened dynamic range, the AT5047 is a perfect fit for recording a variety of sounds in the studio.
Modelled on a rectangular four diaphragm design, the 5047 contains a transformer-coupled output and is built with discrete components, resulting in a more natural compressed tone. The 5047 also makes use of an internal shock-mount to separate the capsule from the body of the microphone, resulting in less unwanted sounds and harsh noises.
The AT5047 also includes the AT8480 external shock-mount to further preserve tonal clarity and high fidelity and is housed in a rugged hard-shell case.
