Audient launches Nero desktop monitor controller

Taking cues from old-school analogue monitoring consoles and the company’s own Centro controller, the Audient Nero boasts four stereo inputs, including two line level inputs, one cue mix input and an AUX/RCA input, as well as three stereo speaker outputs and a subwoofer output. There’s also optical and coaxial SPDIF digital inputs and four headphone outputs with independent controls, making the Nero best suited for mid-level bands looking to get the most out of their project studio.

The Audient Nero also contains the company’s own ‘Precision Matched Attenuation Technology,’ which they claim provides perfectly matched volume levels for both stereo channels. The unit also features customisable Smart Touchpoints to configure your own settings and assign them to the Nero’s interface buttons, ensuring that your personal workflow can reign supreme over the Nero at all times.

With a range of routing options, as well as an internal talkback microphone and an additional microphone input with phantom power, it looks like Audient are seeking to do some damage with the Nero.
