The new ‘direct’ button, housed in Logic’s Channel Strip Audio Device Controls, avoids latency caused by buffering by allowing the monitoring signal to be generated from the hardware input.
In addition to increased control over recording latency, the integration of Apogee’s Ensemble and Element interfaces with Logic also allows users to focus on a single session window during recording.
The new Direct Monitoring feature requires Logic Pro X version 10.3.2 and Apogee Control Software update version 2.0.
