Catch the Gravy Man on the road this Winter.
Paul Kelly today announced a 24-show East coast regional tour with his band through July and August for their On the Road Again tour.
Catch up on all the latest touring news here.
The ARIA Hall of Famer’s band includes Vika and Linda Bull, Bill McDonald, Peter Luscombe, Ash Naylor, and Cameron Bruce who he said have really missed each other over the last eighteen months as shows after shows were first postponed then cancelled”.
“We put our toe in the water with a one-off New Year’s Eve performance for TV but now we’re really looking forward to stretching out and playing music night after night,” he said.
“We want to see the whites of your eyes, you lovers of sound, joy and fury; we want to charge the air around us and change each other and send you home singing into the night”.
Kelly released a surprise album Forty Days last year of songs in isolation, while also collaborating with pianist and composer Paul Grabowsky to release Please Leave Your Light On.
The album features 12 adaptations of Kelly’s original catalogue which Grabowsky transcribed and adapted for a piano and voice combination.
Grabowsky described the album as an “ongoing fascination with music in its many forms”.
If Kelly’s persistence at 66 years of age in producing new albums is anything to go by, there sure is going to be a lot of energy in this tour.
General public tickets will go on sale on May 20, while Frontier Members will have access on May 18.
