Komplete 26 arrives with a raft of new additions across all editions, cementing its place as one of the most comprehensive music production bundles available.

Native Instruments has released Komplete 26, the latest version of its long-running music production bundle. Available now across Standard, Ultimate and Collector’s Edition – plus Select editions – it brings together synths, instruments, effects and sample libraries into one package that covers a serious amount of ground.

Catch up on all the latest news here.

New instruments

The headline addition is Absynth 6, the semi-modular synthesiser that’s been absent for a while and has already got people talking since its return. New instruments also include LCO Producer Strings (in collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra), Cremona Quartet Ensemble, the Claire grand piano library and Erosia, a cinematic sound design engine. The Session Series brings new guitars and bass options: Jam Bass, Electric Ruby, Electric Neon Essential and Electric Storm.

Effects

Guitar Rig 7 Pro and Brainworx’s bx_Clipper and bx_XL V3 are joined by NI classics including Raum, Replika XT and the Crush and Mod packs.

Editions

Three main editions are available, each stepping up in size and scope:

  • Standard: 80+ instruments and effects, 70+ Expansions, 63,000+ sounds
  • Ultimate: 150+ instruments and effects, 100+ Expansions, 116,000+ sounds
  • Collector’s Edition: 160+ instruments and effects, 150+ Expansions, 180,000+ sounds

Hardware integration

NKS technology connects everything to NI hardware and select partner controllers, with sounds pre-mapped out of the box. Existing users can update or upgrade, and anyone on Ultimate can move up to Collector’s Edition later by paying the difference.

Komplete 26 is available now as a download only – no boxed versions this time around.
