The new Authentic models feature a dreadnought body profile that has been subtly changed and refined to be the most period-correct to the guitars from this specific time.

The D-28 has a solid Adirondack spruce top with forward-shifted hand-scalloped X-bracing fitted and is now paired with Guatemalan rosewood back and sides. A mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with Diamonds and Squares long pattern abalone fingerboard inlays, with herringbone purfling and a tortoiseshell guard give the guitar its historically accurate look and feel.

On the other side, the D-18 1937 Authentic makes a welcome return to the line-up and also features the same historically correct specification from this year with an Adirondack spruce top and forward-shifted scalloped braces, genuine mahogany back and sides with classic style-18 inlays and tortoiseshell bindings.

Both models are constructed with hide glue and the tops and braces utilise Martin’s Vintage Tone System (VTS). A patented ageing process that enables the wood to mature and provide the response and tone of an 85-year-old guitar.

Martin have given the 000-16 the StreetMaster treatment with a distinctive distressed look. A stand-out feature is this model also includes the aforementioned Adirondack spruce top with VTS, which is the first time this premium appointment has been seen in this series of guitars.

The 000-16 model also includes an East Indian rosewood back and sides, scalloped X-bracing under the hood, and a satin finish on its neck which is carved into a comfortable “Modified Low Oval” profile.

The GPC-13E Burst with the proportions of its Grand Performance cutaway body is a contemporary and modern Martin guitar. Constructed of a Sitka spruce top and Ziricote fine veneer on the back and sides with a Performing Artist shape and a High Performance Tapered neck.

This model is also equipped with a Fishman MX-T pickup and preamp, with soundhole-mounted controls that are discreetly hidden away, as well as a tuner that auto-mutes your amplified signal when tuning.
