The current ‘Aussie Kids Are Weet-Bix Kids’ song is etched in the memory of pretty much all citizens across the country, but it has become stale and is in need of a refreshing, new jingle.

Sanitarium are calling on Australian musicians to rewrite the song’s intro and middle verse. The best entries will be shortlisted for airtime in a new commercial and the winner will receive $10,000, a Sanitarium prize pack and a studio recording session.

The two runners up will receive $3,000 for 2nd place and $2,000 for 3rd place. The winner will also get to collaborate with country music stars Troy Cassar-Daley and Amber Lawrence. Cassar-Daley, Lawrence and singer Jai Waetford will be working on the end result of the new song that will be released as part of Weet-Bix’s new commercial campaign later this year.

Entries are open now to Australian residents aged 13 years or over and runs through to August 5. Head on over to the official Weet-Bix website for more information.
