Plant made a welcome guest appearance at the event to join in as Wolves celebrated promotion to the top-flight Premier League. The crowd was treated to renditions of Zeppelin’s ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and Wolves’ anthem ‘The Liquidator’ from Plant, a lifelong Wolves fan and honorary vice president of the club.

It’s been six years since Wolves played in the Premier League, and Plant has been known to stand by the club throughout its history, even going so far as to admit to Phoenix New Times that he’d sometimes pretend to be unwell to get out of a Led Zeppelin show – and watch Wolves instead.
“There were a few times with Led Zeppelin where I mysteriously got a bad throat a few hours before the match, and was able to return to watch them play … and miraculously repair by the next day!” he said.
