The heavy metal talk show enlisted the help of ornithologist aka actual bird scientist Tom Stevenson to find out which birds famous metal vocalists most closely resemble when they sing. Stevenson listened to tracks from Converge, Lamb of God, King Diamond and more to determine their feathery flying counterpart, and the comparisons are surprisingly accurate. Given the matches are made by an expert who invented an app that identifies bird calls, you can be sure these comparisons are made with good authority.
