Morrissey launches website to share his controversial opinions

While Morrissey Central currently features only a few posts, it seems as though the musician will use the platform to provide his take on recent events, such as British news site The Independent’s “hate piece” targeted at him.

Writer Nick Hasted documented the “decline of a once-beautiful artist” in his article ‘This Charmless Man: How Morrissey’s big mouth struck again … and again’, covering everything from Morrissey’s music to his outspoken political opinions. In return, Morrissey called out the publication and claimed that The Independent holds a “dog-yapping will to destroy anyone with a view that doesn’t match their own.”

Morrissey continued with a confession that his life in music “has been stunted by shyness,” adding that he is “too interior, and this can often seem like bone splitting arrogance. But it is not … When I attempt to clarify, I will admit that it often sounds like an attack.”

He goes on to criticise The Independent and says that sourcing news from alternative outlets seems to be the “obvious” choice – but don’t take our word for it. Read the full article here
