Born in the suburbs of Nagoya, Japan, Kawaguchi began playing drums at the age of 5. Three years later, she started taking lessons from renowned drummer Kozo Suganuma.
The drummer has won multiple awards for her insane ability, however her biggest praise has come from the one and only Tom Morello, who tweeted the clip below saying “Tripping out on this insanely great 16-year-old Japanese female drummer. One of the best drummers I’ve ever heard.”
