Things Aren’t Looking Good For Legion Festival

legion.jpg

With a goal of creating an ongoing event driven by the fans and the artists, Legion has been true to their promise of creating a completely transparent planning process, giving fans access to the the latest line-up updates, as well as informing them about the expenditures for the festival to go ahead. With a festival like Legion being in demand from punters since the demise of Soundwave late last year, it has to be asked why a festival made for the fans isn’t recieving the warm reception it truly deserves.

So far, the crowdfunding campaign has raised a modest $172,949, which is only a meer 5% of the total amount needed for the festival to go ahead. Whilst the full line-up is not 100% confirmed, Legion has already announced a handful of acts, with the current line-up including the likes of DevilDriver, Devil You Know and Darkest Hour.

With only 17 days to go, it’s clear Legion need your help more than ever. With huge festivals like Soundwave and Big Day Out both crumbling in the last few years, the state of the metal scene in Australia is under heavy threat of becoming a rare breed. Dig deep, every dollar counts towards saving heavy music in our country.
