Shared via Gareth Liddiard’s TFS Records online, Live Recordings 2001-2004 compiles an assortment of tracks from the first three Drones records – 2002’s Here Come The Lies, 2005’s Wait Long By The River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By and their 2005 compilation album The Miller’s Daughter. The tracks were recorded across various live performances at Meredith Music Festival, PBS Radio and shows in the Netherlands.
As NME Australia points out, the album follows last week’s digital release of Bong Odyssey, a pre-Drones album recorded by Liddard and guitarist Rui Pereira while the duo lived in Western Australia. It’s also bookended with an interview featuring Liddiard and future Drones guitarist Dan Luscombe – listen to the record below.
