Nicks previously appeared in Coven‘s tenth episode, appropriately named “The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks”, playing herself as a white witch. Nicks’ appearance in Coven saw her sing ‘Rhiannon’ and ‘Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You?’ so we can only hope that this time around we get a stripped back ‘Gold Dust Woman’ or ‘Tusk’ with supernatural enhancement.
The series’ character of Misty Day, played by Lily Rabe, was inspired by Nicks’ mystical style and the episode contains a hilariously self-aware exchange when the two characters meet.
“You must be Misty. I’m Stevie Nicks.”
Presumably Nicks will reprise the character of her fictional white witch self for Apocalypse, which shares many of the same cast members and characters of Coven and Murder House, though we will have to wait and see.
Series creator Murphy also used Nicks in the other little show about a musical high school that he happens to run, Glee.
Guess who’s coming back for AHS APOCALYPSE? Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and….Stevie Nicks. So thrilled the family is together again! #AHSApocalypse

“I have a good relationship with Stevie because of Glee,” Murphy told Entertainment Weekly in 2013. “She is one of the few artists that have come to hang out… She’s just a wonderful, wonderful person.”
American Horror Story will air on Showcase in Australia, though a premiere date is yet to be set.
