The band, who have remained inactive since 1995’s Pygmalion album, reunited in 2014 to perform a number of high profile festival slots, but have otherwise maintained silence.
Along with the new single comes the announcement that Slowdive has signed to American independent label Dead Oceans for an upcoming album.
Hailing from Reading, England, Slowdive originally formed in 1989 and went on to become one of the figureheads of both shoegaze and the emerging Britpop movements. The band were signed by Alan McGee to Creation in the early 90s and released several influential albums, including 1993’s classic Souvlaki.
