Wood has chosen more than 100 painted set lists to be published for the first time in The Rolling Stones Set Lists. Each is presented with a collection of photographs and memorabilia to match the corresponding tour, plus drawings and notes from Wood and fellow band mates.
“In the early days, we’d play the song, and I’d run over to write it down on the set list, and Mick would always go, ‘Ronnie, come back, we’ve started the song, you can do that later!’” said Wood.
The painted set lists span shows performed around the world by one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most enduring bands, each unique occasion marked by artwork from Wood – a clear indication he hasn’t lost the artistic skills of his sign writing days.
The Rolling Stones Set Lists is out now via Genesis Publications.
