Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: In Concert will feature 53 performances from past inductions, including Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple, and Pearl Jam. The releases will also feature some of the event’s best collaborative performances, such as the surviving members of Nirvana’s 2014 appearance alongside Lorde, Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, and Annie Clark, plus a memorable all-star show the following year from Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, and Green Day.
A series of five digital albums featuring highlights from ceremonies between 2010 and 2017 will also be available for purchase, providing more content from the years featured on the DVDs, which cover 2014-2017.
While the time period covered means we won’t get to see pre-2010 performances on DVD like this all-star rendition of ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’, we’re hoping the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will consider releasing further content from their 32 years of success.
This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Saturday April 14 and see Bon Jovi, Nina Simone, Dire Straits, The Moody Blues, and The Cars inducted into the prestigious group of music legends. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: In Concert will be released on Tuesday April 24.
