“‘Gambling’ is a reminder that this moment is the chance to either live life on life’s terms, or to let the chance for an experience slip away in positive or negative fantasy,” Dyson said in a statement about the track.
Dyson’s newest LP – set for a 2018 release – marks her first studio album since the release of Idyllwild four years ago. It was recorded in Alabama and produced by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes , St Paul & The Broken Bones) with appearances from Erin ‘Syd’ Sidney on drums, David Hood on bass, and John Paul White (The Civil Wars) on backing vocals.
Performances at festivals including Queenscliff Music Festival are set to be followed by a number of headline shows for Dyson, who will visit the towns and cities along the east coast at the end of the year.
