Melbourne punks Private Function announce new record Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Slated to drop on Friday August 28, Whose Line Is It Anyway? pays tribute to Australia’s favourite $5 note ‘whale’ trick that takes on a whole new meaning when paired with the name of the album.

Recorded during the height of COVID-19 earlier in the year, the album sees Private Function delivering 13 hot tracks of raucous punk rock, doubling down on the blueprint set by last year’s debut St. Anger – an album that was ultimately much better than the Metallica album it took its namesake from.

The band have also shared a taste of the new album today in the form of ‘I Don’t Wanna Make Out With You’, a single that delves into the etiquette of personal space and respect. It’s paired with a slick new video from Byron Bay artist Jase Harper, which is chock full with Private Function Easter eggs for fans of the band to find.

Whose Line Is It Anyway? arrives via Damaged / Caroline Australia on Friday August 28. Preorder it here.
