Judas Priest perform ‘Night Comes Down’ live for the first time in 34 years

For a band that has been around for as long as Judas Priest, having formed nearly 60 years ago back in 1969, with a discography spanning 18 releases over that time, they can only play so many of their staggeringly long list of songs. So it was a very special treat for longtime fans of Judas Priest when they busted out ‘Night Comes Down’ from their 1984 album Defenders Of The Faith during their set in Oslo, Norway on their current tour in support of their latest release, Firepower.

This is not the first relic from the past to surface on this current tour, however, as the band also whipped out their song ‘Tyrant,’ a fan favourite for many, off their 1976 album Sad Wings Of Destiny, that they hadn’t played for 35 years at their show in San Antonio last month. Upon completion of their current tour, Priest will be heading back to the United States at the end of August for a co-headlining run with fellow ’70s heavy rockers, Deep Purple. Who knows what long-forgotten tunes will see the light of day from both bands on that one.
