The rising alt-country songstress has said her first LP is all about entering adulthood and searching for self-belief; ‘I’ve been learning about who I am and what I want to say for a long time and in this album, I hear the sound of self-discovery and the incredible fun we had recording it. I couldn’t be prouder of the record …These songs represent a sense of myself I’d never felt before now, and the most unforgettable year of my life so far. I hope people can hear some of their lives in it, too’. It took Clark two years to complete the record but it seems to be paying off as first single ‘Take Me For A Ride’ hit #1 on the iTunes country singles chart. The latest single, ‘You’ll Only Break My Heart’ has had rave reviews with country singing stalwart Kasey Chambers calling Clark a ‘songwriter beyond her years’. 2016 is going to be a massive year for the young singer, keep a look out for tour dates and other upcoming shows.
