The 11-track album is uncompromising in its delivery of gruelling guitar slashes, pulsating basslines and the presence of stadium-worthy drums. At the core, however, are frontwoman Nicole Hawkins’ raw and inviting lyrics, matched only by the scintillating guitar solos of Jason Hawkins.
Jason also took to self-engineering and producing the album, later enlisting the services of LA engineer Paul David Hagar (Goo Goo Dolls, Miley Cyrus) for six tracks and mastering from LA legend Stephen Marcussesn (Led Zeppelin, U2, Foo Fighters). The contribution from such renowned industry figures is fitting, with the album emanating from a 10-year-long dream which has seen Jason and Nicole build their own recording studio from the ground up.
Completing the five-piece is bassist Jerome Smith (ex-touring member with Divinyls and Keith Richards), drummer Mark Hawkins, and keyboardist/guitarist Chris Lugton. Together they sit right on the pulse of modern rock, fearless and determined in their quest to remain authentic and bursting with attitude.
