Gordi joins the likes of Vance Joy, Emma Louise, Dan Sultan and The Temper Trap on the Liberation Music roster, and is already signed to the Jagjaguwar label overseas. Her new EP will continue to carry Payten’s own imprint Hey Alfalfa.
‘Wanting’ is the new release from the pop singer, the third offering from the forthcoming Clever Disguise EP, which is released on May 13. The song is fluid and dense, without feeling congested or overproduced, and is a good sign for what’s to come on the EP.
After playing Groovin’ the Moo in Canberra and supporting Of Mice and Men along the east coast, Gordi will head off overseas to play a string of shows in the UK, US and Canada.
