FREEDRUM: THE VIRTUAL DRUM KIT YOU CAN CARRY ANYWHERE

FREEDRUM WEB.jpg

The device works by using battery powered sensors that can be attached to drumsticks and feet, which detect velocity and movement from the drummer and translates those into MIDI data. This information is then sent via a paired Bluetooth device – such as an iPhone – and works easily with Garageband, amongst other programs.

As no internet connection is required and the battery is designed to last for up to seven hours, this will literally allow you to play the drums anywhere, such as on the bus or during a dull meeting. As portability is key, shock resistant ABS casing on the sensors ensures that Freedrum can take a beating while remaining small enough to fit in your pocket.

The project is currently in the design stage with the company aiming to deliver the product by mid-2017, so there is still time to get involved.
