Dave Grohl to auction Play gear for Reverb

Running from the 9th to the 21st of October, the Dave Grohl ‘Play’ Reverb Auction is set to include a wide variety of instruments and pieces of gear from the likes of Gretsch, Fender, Ludwig, DW Drums, Gibson and Zildjian, all of which has been signed by Grohl himself.

All proceeds of the ‘Play’ auction are set to go to young musicians, with Grohl expressing his desire to spark musical inspiration within younger generations during a chat to Reverb prior to the launch of the auction – ““When I take my kids to their music lessons, I see these rooms full of children that are really pushing themselves to figure this out. I’m inspired by watching that process… Even now, as a 49-year-old man, I’m still trying to figure it out. It’s not something that you ever truly master. You’re always chasing the next challenge, and you’re always trying to find a way to improve what you’ve learned.”

Take a look at some of the items up for offer via Reverb, and be sure to sign up for updates for when the auction kicks off.
