DAN SULTAN’S ALBUM ‘KILLER’ OUT TODAY

Killer showcases Sultan’s storytelling abilities and illustrates a new level of sophistication in production and instrumentation. ‘Drover’, the first of 11 songs, sees Sultan reflect on the 1966 Wave Hill walk-off with the singer considering the song to act as a prequel to Paul Kelly’s ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’.

“It’s about the lead-up to the walk-off, about what it was like on the ground before the protest really kicked off,” said Sultan in a press release. “The drover in the song has heard murmurs of a walk-off, murmurs of, ‘We’re going to protest and stand up for our land and stand up for our people’.”
