Tasks / Responsibilities Include:
- Build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships and partnerships, including with funding bodies at local, state, and national levels; philanthropic organisations; business; community organisations; and collaborators.
- Strategically engage with local, state, and federal and governments.
- Identify areas for revenue growth through new and innovative industry partnerships.
- Represent the organisation in the media, on Boards and Panels, and proactively contribute to sector advocacy.
- Prepare grant applications, budgets and acquittals to fulfil all reporting requirements for funding partners.
- Oversee and manage Music Tasmania’s operations (e.g. financial; workplace health and safety), people (e.g. payments and reporting;), and governance (e.g. Board papers and Annual General Meeting).
- Deliver operating budgets, negotiate fees and contracts with staff, musicians, and presenters, in accordance with approved budgets
- Ensure the organisation fulfils all financial and compliance obligations, including statutory obligations, risk management, and COVID Safe Plan.
- Organise the programming, administration, marketing, and delivery, of Music Tasmania’s annual industry development events program.

Marketing Manager – QMusic (Brisbane)
QMusic, the legends responsible for BIGSOUND, Queensland Music Awards and more, are on the lookout for a cunning marketer to join their offices and assist in the core marketing strategy of the business. Ideally, you’ll have previously obtained senior leadership experience in the music industry, and have an expert understanding of how marketing and promotions works in the local music sector.
Skills / Experience Required:
- Demonstrated leadership experience and success at a senior level in delivering marketing, communications and digital strategies in a music, arts or creative industries context; and managing and growing online communities.
- Experience in managing staff.
- Highly developed social media skills.

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:
- Drive QMusic’s marketing and communication activities and deliver high impact, integrated campaigns to support the organisation’s vision and business plan.
- Maintain and develop strategic media partnerships and sponsorship of QMusic events.
- Develop and deliver trade and general marketing strategy and activities, including print and online, media buys, direct and video marketing plus all digital implementation.
- Manage and produce content for all digital communications including websites – qmusic.com.au, bigsound.org.au and queenslandmusicawards.com.au, social media, native advertising and direct marketing pieces.
- Lead and implement digital strategies and activities including earned, shared and paid media, creative design and development and evaluation.
- Write media releases for QMusic programs and major events working with major Government, corporate and industry partners.
- Design, write and collate all publicity and communications materials including eDMs and alerts as required.
- Provide direction and leadership to the Marketing team to foster an open, collaborative, culture of ideas and ensure the implementation of smart, persuasive, integrated marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met for all core activities.
