Marketing Manager – Finely Tuned (Sydney)

Finely Tune is a creative, music, events and touring agency. They’re looking for a new Marketing Managing to join the team part-time 3-4 days a week in the Bondi office.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing
  • Organised and can work independently 
  • Creative and are able to think outside the box
  • Passionate about the industry
  • Eye for design
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Can work in high-pressure environment 
  • Can work in a team

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and deliver the overarching marketing strategies and timelines for Finely Tuned and its associated brands/projects
  • Stay up to date with and implement current marketing trends
  • Develop and document style guides for finely Tuned and its associated brands/projects (voice, tone, fonts, colours, etc.)
  • Create all front-end content, including social media posts, direct messages, graphics, website copy, online ads and sponsorship/investor decks
  • Manage and file digital assets on the shared drive
  • Source, brief and manage content agencies (photographers, public relations, editors, developers, influences, etc.)
  • Ensure external marketing activities (venues, sponsors, etc.) align with Finely Tuned marketing strategies and timelines
  • Grow audiences across Finely Tuned’s social media platforms and mailing lists
  • Manage allocated marketing budget, which includes requesting and filing all quotes, invoices and receipts
  • Provide real-time reporting on marketing results and adapting strategies as necessary

Label Manager – Domino Recording Company (Melbourne / Sydney)

Domino Recording Company is looking for a label manager to run its artist campaigns in the Australian market over a fixed term 12-month maternity leave contract. 

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in project management, promotions and both the physical and digital distribution of international artists in the Australian market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and multitask
  • Familiarity with Domino and its artists

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee Domino artist campaigns in Australia and setting up release plans in line with UK and international plans
  • Oversee M&P budgets, delivering efficiencies in expenditure, and setting and overseeing sales targets
  • Oversee and/or directly run publicity campaigns for all Domino releases with the UK-based international team – including print and online media, national radio and TV
  • Oversee and/or directly run publicity/promotional campaigns for Australian tours
  • Collate and reporting campaign feedback including sales figures, promo results and other Australian market-specific data
  • Sett up all Domino product releases, including coordinating local pricing and metadata, on releases between UK international team and local distributor
  • Directly pitch to and set objectives for Australian digital partners including Spotify, Apple, and Amazon etc
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with the editorial teams at the Australian DSPs
  • Coordinate local digital marketing activities and implementing digital trade marketing locally
  • Track and report playlist inclusions at all DSPs
  • Circulation of new press releases, local tour dates and release schedules
  • To maintain relationships with promoters, agents and other interested parties
  • Servicing of music and videos to various parties

DJ/MC – Mobydisc (Melbourne / Canberra)

Australia’s largest DJ company, Mobydisc is looking for a casual DJ/MC for parties, weddings and anything along those lines. No experience is necessary for this role! Improve your public speaking skills, event planning knowledge and customer service skills.

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

Marketing and Communications Manager – Music Victoria (Melbourne)

Music Victoria an independent, not-for-profit organisation and the state peak body for contemporary music. They are hiring for a new Marketing and Communications Manager. The role is responsible for presenting Music Victoria as an organisation and work to the public in a way that generates excitement and builds upon their reputation. The position is part-time for 3-4 days a week.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Experience working in Marketing and Communications with excellent taste in design and an eye for detail 
  • Demonstrate experience in writing for a range different audiences and purposes, each requiring their own unique tone as well as creating newsletters and segmented audiences with Mailchimp 
  • Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Understand the need for the music industry to be safe and inclusive for people from underrepresented groups such as First Nations people, people of colour, Deaf/disabled people, and the LGBTIQA+ community
  • Experience in managing social media pages for business and with social media scheduling software (e.g. Later, Hootsuite, Facebook Creator Studio), including boosted and targeted ads

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Contribute to Music Victoria’s strategic planning and annual programming processes with a specific focus on marketing and communication strategies and initiatives
  • Manage and implement the above organisational marketing, social media and communications strategies and associated budgets
  • Take the lead on Music Victoria branding year-round ensuring that it is consistent and fresh and complements VMDO branding
  • Work collaboratively with MV and VMDO staff on public-facing components for projects
  • Drive the promotion of MV and VMDO Projects, Advocacy, Events, Programs etc on social media, website, e-news to ensure targets of attendance and engagement are reached
  • Manage our advertising across social media, radio, print media and billboards 
  • Acquire and service sponsors and advertising partners (who advertise with us)
  • Manage and review copy writing for external communications including press releases, public statements, and proof-reading of MV reports, acquittals and published documents. 
  • Report on marketing reach, audience growth, engagement and conversion 
  • Manage relationships, information transfers and timelines with contracted publicists, photographers and graphic designers for all Music Victoria Events, Programs and announcements
  • Manage all content on the Music Victoria website (including the Membership Database)
  • Act as a primary contact for the website and manage communications between Music Victoria and website host/designers
  • Manage targeted and segmented communications via enews and social media

Engagement Coordinator – Music Victoria (Melbourne)

Music Victoria an independent, not-for-profit organisation and the state peak body for contemporary music. They are hiring a new Engagement Coordinator. The role is responsible for supporting the Music Victoria team in event coordination and member engagement. The position is part-time for 3-4 days a week.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Extremely good attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures 
  • Experience in working with databases, mail delivery software and filing systems (Music Victoria use Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive and associated apps, Outlook, Dropbox and Nimble) 
  • Strong planning and time management skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Good writing, interpersonal skills and professionalism 
  • An understanding of the need for the music industry to be safe and inclusive for people from underrepresented groups such as First Nations people, people of colour, Deaf/disabled people, and the LGBTIQA+ community

Tasks / Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, implement and coordinate a high-quality membership engagement service that integrates with Music Victoria’s broader activities 
  • Support integration of membership data with our CRM – Nimble, and drive the relevant data segmentation 
  • Distribute annual members survey and collect responses into report form 
  • Manage member discount provider database, and service discount providers 
  • Coordinate event logistics and bookings (facilitate online events and book venues/spaces following restrictions) 
  • Assist with event delivery tasks including set-up, artist/guest liaison, and intern and volunteer management 
  • Coordinate Music Victoria Awards judging panels and voting process, ensuring criteria and eligibility is adhered to 
  • Represent Music Victoria on panels / workshops / industry events (shared with all staff)
